psycho setting Ideal setting for roaming cat in Calgary?
A cat I know recently moved from Ontario, where he lived in an urban setting, but was used to roaming his neighborhood.   He's having trouble adapting to Calgary, where cats aren't allowed to roam free, and he is forced to spend his days indoors.  His owner has decided that it is in his best interest to find him a location where he can roam as he'd like. Finding someone to take him isn't an issue... he's absolutely beautiful:  All white, with one blue eye, and one green eye... incredibly well mannered to boot.  The challenge is to find him a home suited to both his need for freedom, and his need to be around people. A farm is a possible option for him, but he may not get all of the TLC he requires on a farm. Can anyone suggest a possible option?

Have the cat's owners considered cat-proofing their backyard so the cat can still enjoy the outdoor life without roaming?   Here is one such example from the Calgary Animal Services web site: http://www.gov.calgary.ab.ca/animalservices/catsincalgary/cats_paradi... ~*Serena*~

I dont think he'd last long on a farm, being a cat on the farm isn;t all roses. Many people have great luck using a leash. There;s good reasons the  cat shouldnt roam ,most are for his own good others protect natuaral wildlife around your yard from getting killed like ,birds, squrriels, rabbits ect.......B
