Please refer to posted images 'single_frame_Dec29.jpg' and 'stitchedImageDec29.jpg'. 'single_frame_Dec29.jpg' is the sky portion of one _frame_ out of a sequential series. When stitched together with its neighbors, the result is 'stitchedImageDec29.jpg' (stitched with PTGui 8.3.6). The stitched scene has additional spots of subtle but unusual color in the clouds added during the stitching process. I find this result seemingly invariably in image areas of subtle tonal and color change such as these clouds and in shaded areas. Can these spots be avoided, and if so, how? Jeff

I do not see any spots of any kind. The only differences I see is that the stitched image is more compressed and has some typical compression artifacts. You should use  Raw and convert to TIF for stitching, Export as tif not JPG. If possible even use 16 bit all the way. Hans - Hide quoted text -- Show quoted text - Jeff

Newsflash

Norwegian Minister of Justice did not sit at home and dived in the waters of the Arctic. I must admit that bad for the minister!
