Procter & Gamble has an 'intelligent' mail system which generates automatic responses when mailmessages with binary files attached are send to someone in the pg.com domain. Unfortunatly P&G doesn't follow the Internet 'standard' that automatic responses should be sent back to the ORIGINAL sender of a message and NOT the discussionlist address. I have contacted P&G about this, they claim it's not their problem. So if anyone sends mail with a binary attachment to the AWARE list these P&G 'error' replies will be sent to the list. As P&G system managers aren't very cooperative, the only 'solution' to not get these messages is to unsubscribe people with an @pg.com address from the list. I'm firm against this solution since the list is open to all. Maybe Jim (the @pg.com AWARE member) can convince P&G system management to clean up their act. Oh sometimes I wish the Internet was still a free-for-all following undocumented 'standards' and nettiquette. AWARE listowner,
