First of all, I liked the visual effects.  Some of the exaggerated martial arts moves reminded me of the Matrix, which is a good thing. The acting?  Eh.  I've seen better, but this is the first time these kids have acted in a big TV show so I'll give them some time.  The bad guys looked really cool, especially that one bad girl whose name escapes me.  I loved the ranger suits; I knew I would.  The colored visors and mouthpiece lips clinched it for me.  But anyway, I thought the original red ranger dying was just a rumor!  Well, we all know he's just pulling a Mike, right?   An interesting side note:  Remember that futuristic car that was commendeered by the Time Force team (the civilian owner was picked up from the vehicle and tossed out Animal-House _style_ by the yellow ranger)?  The design of that car was swiped from a 1973 Woody Allen movie called Sleeper .

Speaking of which, any thoughts on why two modes of transport (hover vehicles and ground vehicles) are used? Perhaps it was safer to transport Ransik on wheels...

I suppose that's interesting, especially since I recognized it as a repainted version of the Knight 4000 from Knight Rider 2000. Right down to the indentation for KITT's sensor strip at the fron of the car. FlameStrike My honor is my life!
